What is Satya?

Satya is an Indian incense maker founded in 1964 by the late Shri K.N. Satyam Setty, whose company Shrinivas Sugandhalaya introduced the Nag Champa blend that same decade. The name pairs the fragrant champa flower with the founder's family, and the scent went on to become one of the most recognized incense fragrances in the world.

Satya incense is made by the masala, or flora, method: the aromatic ingredients, including sandalwood and champa, are worked into a resin base and then hand-rolled onto bamboo sticks. This is different from the charcoal method, where a plain stick is dipped into fragrance. The blend is produced in India and sold widely through incense retailers.

Good to know

Incense is a home-fragrance product, so there is no age check for it in store. Burn it on a heat-safe holder that catches the ash, keep it away from anything flammable, use it in a ventilated room, and never leave a lit stick unattended. Reserve for pickup and the product page will point you to the El Paso store that has it in stock.
