Macanudo is a premium cigar brand made by the General Cigar Company in the Dominican Republic, known since 1971 for its mild Connecticut Shade wrapper. El Paso Smoke Shops carries the Café, Inspirado and Cru Royale lines in Toro, Robusto and cigarillo sizes. Each product page shows the El Paso store that has it in stock for same-day pickup. What is Macanudo?
Macanudo is a premium handmade cigar brand produced by the General Cigar Company. General Cigar acquired the Macanudo name with the Temple Hall factory in Jamaica in 1969, and the modern Macanudo blend launched in 1971. Production later moved to the Dominican Republic, where the cigars are rolled today.
The brand is best known for its mild, smooth Café line under a light Connecticut Shade wrapper, the look most people picture when they think of Macanudo. By the early 1990s it had become the best-selling premium cigar in the United States. Alongside the classic Café, Macanudo makes fuller lines such as Inspirado and Cru Royale for smokers who want more body.
