What is Gurkha?
Gurkha is a premium cigar brand based in Miami, Florida. It was revived in 1989 by Kaizad Hansotia, who bought the old Gurkha name and built it into a maker of hand-rolled, long-aged cigars. The brand is known for elaborate packaging and for resting its tobacco for years before rolling.
The Cellar Reserve line is made in the Dominican Republic using heavily aged Dominican leaf, with versions sorted by the age of the tobacco, including 12, 18 and 21 Year. The Ghost line pairs a dark Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, and the Kraken is a thick Gordo vitola from the Cellar Reserve family.
