Is lighter fluid the same as kerosene?
No. Even though this can reads 'Kerosine,' Zippo premium lighter fluid is a light petroleum distillate called naphtha, not kerosene. Kerosene is heavier and burns differently, so use the correct Zippo fluid in your Zippo wick lighter.
Can you use kerosene in a Zippo?
We do not recommend it. Zippo lighters are designed for Zippo premium lighter fluid (naphtha). Kerosene burns dirtier and smokier in a wick lighter, so stick with this 4 oz Zippo fluid that we stock at all 10 El Paso Smoke Shops.
