Cohiba
Cohiba is a premium handmade cigar brand. The Cohiba cigars sold in the US, including everything on our shelves, are the General Cigar version handrolled in the Dominican Republic, often called the Red Dot Cohiba. El Paso Smoke Shops keeps Cohiba in stock across our 10 locations for same-day in-store pickup.
What is Cohiba?
Two separate cigars carry the Cohiba name: a Cuban version made by Habanos S.A., and the US-market version made by General Cigar Company in the Dominican Republic. The Cuban brand is not legally sold in the United States, so every Cohiba we carry is the General Cigar version, widely known as the Red Dot Cohiba for the red dot in the middle of the "O" on its bands and boxes. General Cigar registered the Cohiba name in the US in 1978, and US courts confirmed its exclusive ownership of the trademark. The company is a subsidiary of Denmark's Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
What we carry
- Cohiba Red Dot Tube Toro, 6 x 50. General Cigar's flagship blend, handrolled in the Dominican Republic with Cuban-seed Piloto Cubano long-fillers, an Indonesian Jember binder, and an African Cameroon wrapper.
- Cohiba Macassar Corona, Aged 4 Years. Introduced in 2016 and named after Macassar ebony wood, made at General Cigar Dominicana with filler aged at least four years, including a final year in rum barrels.
- Cohiba Nicaragua N50 Crystal Robusto. Part of the Cohiba core collection from General Cigar Co.
